Independent inspection
Electrical Inspector
Inspection first — verification you can rely on
Our electrical work is led by the inspector’s role: independent checking, testing, and certification against AS/NZS standards and EWRB requirements. We issue and support documents such as COV, COC, RoI, and EWOF, so building owners, insurers, councils, and electricians get a clear compliance record — not just installation labour.
- Independent verification of prescribed electrical work and existing installations
- Standards-based inspection (including AS/NZS 3019 and related codes)
- Certificate and report packs for insurance, council, and board requirements
- Specialist audits: solar, thermography, hazardous areas, medical locations
Solar inspection
Solar panel installations must comply with the relevant AS/NZ standards otherwise they could be potentially hazardous. Make sure installations are inspected by a certified professional.
Thermography inspections (thermal imaging)
Our detailed thermo-graphic review can help identify and report on individual equipment and switchboards inspected, precise temperature variations recorded, the level of any defect, a proposal for repairs needed, and prioritisation by urgency.
Warrant of Electrical Fitness (WoEF) — caravan / camper-van inspection
Caravans, caravan parks, pleasure boats, and boat marinas as required according to the relevant AS/NZ standards. We do it all.
Insurance certification
Insurance companies may request thorough inspections, including thermal imaging detection and electrical inspection reports. Certificate of Verification (COV) as per AS/NZS 3019 for existing installations may be required by insurance companies, council or the electrical board to ensure electrical safety.
Pre-purchase electrical inspection
Vital for investors and new home buyers before buying a property. A pre-purchase electrical inspection provides peace of mind for your investment.
Homeowners work verification
Inspection of work conducted by homeowners as required by the Electricity Act, Electricity Regulations, and Electrical Code of Practice ECP 50/51. The law permits homeowners to do a restricted amount of electrical work in their home. Any person other than a homeowner who carries out prescribed electrical work is required to be registered by EWRB.
Inspection of mains cable and switchboard
Inspections of residential and commercial installations for electricians in case of a new switchboard or mains cable, including relocation and extension.
Hazardous area electrical inspection / audits
Typical hazardous area inspections are carried out to AS/NZS 60079 standards for commercial and industrial clients who have hazardous explosive atmospheric areas in their premises. With in-depth knowledge of the standards and effective time management to create verification dossiers, we have proven inspection capabilities in industries including chemical processing plants, fuel tank farms, paint lines, paint booths, chemical foam rooms, and grain manufacturing plants.
Medical area (body cardiac / protected)
We conduct electrical compliance testing in patient areas such as dental and medical practices. Electrical safety is significant in hospitals as patients may be undergoing a diagnostic or treatment procedure and may not respond normally to an electrical current.
